Sir Simon Stevens, Chief Executive of the NHS, speaking at the Commons Public Accounts Committee has said that the NHS may start hiring cabin crew to fill nurse vacancies as it struggles to recruit 50,000 nurses to join the service amid the coronavirus crisis.
